Installation of WordPress can be handled easily through Softaculous. All clients have access to Softaculous through cPanel.
- Log into cPanel on https://yourdomain.com/cpanel (replace yourdomain.dk with your domain)
- Go to Software > Softaculous App Installer
- Search for WordPress in the sidebar to the left
- Press WordPress and select Install Now
- Fill in the information that you want, and then press ‘Install’

Explanation of the values
Choose the version you want to install: Here you can choose which version of WordPress you want to install. We advise you always to install the latest version.
Choose Protocol: Select whether you want to install WordPress on http (unencrypted) or https (encrypted). Recommended is https.
Choose Domain: If you have multiple domains, so choose the one you want to install WordPress on.
In The Directory: Here you need to type the folder name of the folder you want to install WordPress in. If you want WordPress to be installed in the root of your domain (f.ex. https://yourdomain.com/), so you should not specify anything. You indicate the r.ex. shopWordPress be installed in the https://yourdomain.com/shop/.
Site Name: The name of your WordPress website. Usually appear in the header.
Site Description: Description of your website. Usually appear during the Site Name.
Enable Multisite (WPMU): If you need to run Multisite, you can enable it here.
Admin Username: The username of your administrator account. It is recommended to choose a username, which is not admin.
Admin Password: The password for your administrator account. Use a strong password, you are not using other places. Press evt. on the key to let the system generate a password.
Admin Email: The email address attached to your account. Be sure that the email address exists. This address can be used to reset your password.
Choose Language: Select the languages in which WordPress to use.
Under Select Plugins we recommend to install the following:
Limit Login Attempts (Loginizer): Protect your website against bruteforce attack by limiting the number of failed logins.
LiteSpeed Cache: Cachesoftware, which is developed for the LiteSpeed web server that we use. Does not need configuration, but can be configured very much.
